Soviet artist Viktor Kabanov
Soviet artist Viktor Kabanov (1924 – 2007) was born 16 January 1924, in a small village of Lapshinovka of Vyazovsky district of Saratov region. He was a member of the USSR Union of Artists, participant of the Great Patriotic War. After the war, wounded in the leg and shell-shocked, he returned to his native Saratov, where he studied at the Saratov school I. Shcheglov. C 1948 studied at the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts in VG Odintsov Moscow State Art Institute. IN AND. Surikov, at PI Kotova. Author thematic paintings, portraits, Kabanov – participant of republican, all-Union and foreign exhibitions since 1953. From 1968 to 1969. Kabanov has taught at the National School of Arts in Phnom Penh, Cambodia (1968-1969). The artworks are located in the Krasnoyarsk Museum of Art, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad: Germany, Japan, Sweden, Vietnam, Cambodia. V.Kabanov lived in Italy, was a friend of Renato Guttuso. For a long time, up to 200-s taught privately and produced a lot of very good artists. He died in 2007.
